Hangzhou Tianshui Church

TianShui Church was built by American Southern Presbyterian Mission and is the oldest church in Hangzhou in 1874. In 1875, John Linton Stuart, father of the American ambassador John Leighton Stuart, became the host of the church. John Leighton Stuart spent his childhood in Hangzhou till 11 years old. He rebuilt it and renamed it to TianShui Church. It was a building complex including missionary residence and school, which occupied 80 hecters. John Linton Stuart died in 1913, and the missionary work was handed over to local chinese missionary. Regular preaching is held on Sunday at 6:30 am, 8:30 am and 7 pm
