The Hot Spring Museum is located in the northwest of Fuzhou Hot Spring Park, Gulou district. It was built with a total investment of 120 million yuan ($19.27 million). The museum will be equipped with a hot spring experience zone and will display and publicize Fuzhou hot spring culture. The Gulou district government will combine the museum with the 190,000-square-meter Hot Spring Park and the nearby Jinyuan Hotel to form an urban hot spring tourism complex.
Civil engineering plans for the museum were completed this October. Pan Wei, an official from the Fuzhou tourism bureau, said that since Fuzhou received the title of “China’s Hot Spring Capital,” the city has put more effort into exploiting hot spring resources and constructing tourism projects.
