About No Name Café :

Here's an out of the way spot that many of you probably don't know about, unless you happen to work at the Gongyuan Mansion office park, or if you've eaten at Grandma's Kitchen located within. As a secluded little coffee shop with a funky décor with distinctly retro appeal the No Name Café may be just what you’re looking for. At first glance, the space inside looks a lot like someone's living room, especially if that someone were a musician or rocker. There are musical instruments and vintage items like old LP's, a record player, and a small sound stage rounding out this musical theme. For about three years, the owners have been using it mostly as a private party spot for a variety of musician and artist friends. Some well-known names like Xu Wei and Li Jian (Chinese rock stars) have partied here, and it has the well-worn feel of a spot that has seen some interesting activity, although we doubt they could rival the sordid antics of Mötley Crüe, but one can dream. A variety of coffees, teas, and soft drinks are offered and run about 30-50RMB, and snacks like popcorn, cheesecake, chicken wings, and tiramisu are available for 18-30RMB, however, entrees are not. Be warned, even snacks aren't always available, as we discovered, when we asked about the sandwich special on the menu board, and were told that it hasn't been available for a long time. It remained on the board, even after we left. Hours of operation are 10am -11pm on most days and parking is available.
